Lacepede Bay Aquaculture Management Policy

This report provides information relating to the development of policies to promote ecologically sustainable development of the aquaculture industry in the South East region, predominantly for the farming of finfish in Lacepede Bay. It is intended that these developments will run in conjunction with an intensive monitoring program to identify the extent of impacts of aquaculture on the environment, particularly in relation to seagrass. This Policy will be reviewed within three years of authorisation. This review will affect all operators in the region and will be based on the environmental performance of the farms.
