The Ministry for the Environment is interested in the nature and extent of enhancement strategies likely to take place in New Zealand over the next decade because it is responsible for developing the legislative frameworks for managing the environment where enhancement strategies are implemented. The objectives of this document are, for marine species, to:

Define the areas and regions where enhancement is likely to occur

Provide an overview of possible impacts of enhancement practices.
